Instagram supports one finished single-image post. Facebook Pages supports text or one finished single-image post. LinkedIn supports text or one finished single-image post, with the relevant member or organization permissions. TikTok and YouTube support finished short videos. X and Threads support text, one image, or short video, but not carousels. Pinterest supports image or video Pins, with a cover image required for video Pins. Reddit supports text posts or finished single-media links aimed at a chosen community.

What does “Preview only” mean?

Preview only means the platform-shaped preview is available, but the account connection or provider permission is not ready for publishing. An account may be disconnected, pending, limited, denied, or awaiting verification. This is a per-channel connection state—not a claim that the named platform is permanently preview-only.

When is a post blocked?

A connected channel can still be blocked for a specific post when the server preflight finds an unsupported format, missing or inaccessible media, a missing destination, unverified permission, or a provider rule. For example, a carousel is blocked on Instagram, LinkedIn, X, Threads, or Reddit, while a video without the required finished asset is blocked on TikTok or YouTube. Post Pilot keeps the reason visible instead of implying that an approved draft is guaranteed to publish.

How does approval and review work?

Post Pilot creates a draft, shows platform-shaped previews, and lets you edit the caption and hashtags before you approve it. Approval is required before queueing. After approval, the server preflight checks the destination, connection, permissions, format, and media; a passing destination is eligible to publish, while a limited or blocked destination stays visible for review or manual sharing.

What do I need before Post Pilot can publish?

Keep the account actively connected and grant verified provider permissions. You may also need to select the destination: a Facebook Page, YouTube channel, LinkedIn member or organization, Pinterest board, or Reddit community. The finished media must be accessible to the provider and meet its format requirements.

If a channel is outside that supported list—or a post format, destination, permission, or media asset does not meet the live rules—the review state explains that it is preview-only, limited, or blocked and gives the relevant reason.

Yes. You can create, edit, and approve content while reviewing its platform-shaped previews before deciding whether to connect an account. Publishing readiness is checked separately for each destination, so you can still use the approved work manually when a connection or provider requirement is not ready.
